Day 2 - 13 | March Holi Celebrations
Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, we will head towards the mandir to take part in Holi celebrations as per local traditions. Celebrate the festival of colours with enchanting music of drums and trumpets. Try local wine, and food and dance to the beats of traditional Kinnauri music.
Day 3 - 14 | March Holi Celebrations
Wake up in the beautiful valley of Sangla. Enjoy the Faag mela with the villagers and enjoy the best of the festival today. Holi in Sangla is a way of inviting blessings and announcing the arrival of spring. While summer hues weave over this town’s cloudless skies, the bright colours of Holi are colouring mountains red and grass pink. Here Holi is not merely celebrated, but revered too. They have some unique, mind-blasting traditions which include lots of booze, and dancing, along with nautanki (drama).
Day 4 - 15 March | Sangla - Rakcham - Chitkul
You will be surprised to see some of the most beautiful places on this trip. A day trip to Rakcham and Chitkul will take you by surprise as the white landscape you will see will be nothing short than a heaven-like place that will etch a memory in your heart for a lifetime. Stay at Sangla overnight.
Day 5 - 16 March | Sangla to Shimla
It is time to say goodbye. We will take a return journey to Shimla and enjoy the drive back home. Take a night bus to Delhi or Chandigarh back home.
